Agent D

It's your first day at a [[special agency]] dealing with uncanny threats around the world. One day, your boss assigns you a new task: you must hunt down a domestic disturbance within the country to fulfill your duties. He has given you three options, and described them in some detail. Which one do you choose to go after? AKA Dynamite Corp. You have taken up a job to deal with disturbances in the local area and around the world. (And no, it's not like the organization in JJK.)

Having chosen to go after Axle Sera, you and your team of fellow agents decide to gear up to fight him. The threat level of Axle is unknown to many agents of Dynamite Corp, but many others consider him to be "unlike anything the company has faced yet". You look at the weapons that laid before you. There are only two that stick out to you, both of which are ranged. [[Phaser Crossbow, a crossbow that shoots electrified beams at your enemies |I choose the Phaser Crossbow!]] [[Tome of Izanagi, a magical tome that summons living katanas that deal with large groups of enemies |I choose the Tome of Izanagi!]]

"Just who is this mystery rogue agent?", you asked yourself. Your boss described them as an undercover agent planning on exploting the company's secret illegal operations to the public. In order to keep the brand image of Dynamite Corp. safe, as well as your job, your boss gives you the opportunity to catch this rogue agent. [[Absolutely!]] [[Yeah... I'll pass]]

You have chosen to go after Ardhydra, the infernal tempest maker! Before you leave, you hear your stomach growling, and decide to grab a meal at the nearby restaurant in the Dynamite Industries building. You decide to order the spicy salmon sushi, but something tastes... off. The sushi tastes as if something other than fish was put in. [[Sneak into the kitchen]]

Your curiosity got the best of you and you decided to walk into the kitchen. You discover, to your surprise, a ginormous crimson and teal eel head! You look at the file your boss had given you for Ardhydra, and notice that the head in the picture and the head on the kitchen table were the same! Mildly disgusted and disappointed, you report the incident to your boss. He takes note of the situation, and removes Ardhydra from the list of supernatural threats. Who do you hunt for now? (set: $phasebolt to 2) You have chosen the Phaser Crossbow! It's an easy-to-use weapon with lots of potential to use in battle, allowing you to easily stun your enemies. Before you leave, you decide to use the crossbow on a nearby training dummy. [[Fire 1 Phasebolt]]

You have chosen the Tome of Izanagi! A life-energy fueld magical item capable of fighting off threats such as Axle Sera. Once you have been deployed, you join your fellow agents in an ambush against Axle Sera. You form a circle around him with your fellow agents, and surround him all at once. However, you notice something in his hand that makes him menacing: a sickle. Not just any sickle, however, this was an artifact believed to have undead-related powers, as noted by its red electricity and gothic look of the sickle itself. You and your fellow agents attempt to reason with Axle when suddenly, without warning, an agent fires a bolt from their phaser crossbow at him, piercing through his torso and leaving a gaping hole. Axle lets out a small cry of pain, before the hole is slowly regenerated. You soon realize the situation that you're in wasn't going to be survivable. Axle finally retaliates, and he starts fighting off your fellow agents, wiping out one after one until only a handful were left. What will you do? Just run.]]

You choose to fight back! The Tome of Izanagi's swords begin to manifest as you draw your life energy out from you to use as magic. With two living swords floating above your head, you run in to fight Axle. Axle notices you approaching, and the living swords swipe at him, leaving two visible scars on his chest. He lets out a cry of pain, this time one that was more agonizing than the last, and stares you down. You suddenly realize the mistake you made, and before you can run off... *Shing!* You feel a great pain in your torso. The living swords fade away as you notice your lower body's inability to move. Axle had bisected you in half from the waist up, and you became nothing more than another goner in his book. [[Start Again |Newly Recruited]]

On the cobbled street, you notice one of your fellow colleagues had been mortally wounded. You run over to him to tend to his wounds, but fail to save him in time, his last words being "Run home, Agent D.". [[Run. Just run.]]

You decided to run off, leaving the carnage behind you. Some of your fellow agents noticed you running off and called your name, only to be taken out themselves. Axle spots you and performs a light-speed dash in your direction, grabbing you by the throat. Axle lets you down on the ground and tells you to leave him alone, otherwise he would be coming for your agency. You listen to him and he leaves you alone, running off before anyone can notice him at the scene of the crime. You returned to your boss a few hours later, and despite your best efforts to explain the situation, he was furious. However, upon noticing the scene of the crime and the state of Dynamite Corp.'s defenses, he soothed himself, and demanded to know more information about the fury of Axle Sera. From that day forward, you became a private investigator for Dynamite Corp.. A worker with a lesser role in the company, but one that didn't have to deal with having his life at the mercy of unnatural beings such as Axle Sera. As relaxing as it may be, the memories of that day have become a part of your mind. [[Start Over|Newly Recruited]]

(set: $phasebolt to 1) You fired a phasebolt at the training dummy. It left a piercing hole through the midsection and violently shocked it. [[Fire Another Phasebolt]]

You fired the last phasebolt. Wait, the last? That can't be right... ...until you realized that there is a shortage of phasebolts due to everyone else gearing up with, to your surprise, multiple phaser crossbows. [[Fine, I'll go with the Tome of Izanagi.|I choose the Tome of Izanagi!]]

You told your boss about how eager you were to hunt down the rogue agent. He assigned you to question other agents who potentially knew about them. After spending an entire shift questioning other agents, you notice one that isn't following orders during his own shift. Instead, he's in the cafeteria eating food from the newly-built company restaurant. As you notice him wolfing down a double cheeseburger, you realized that questioning him would be the perfect way to gather information about the rogue agent, given that he runs into everyone working for Dynamite Corp. in the cafeteria during their own lunch hours, AKA, all of them! You approached him and asked about the rogue agent. He replies, "Two hot dogs". [[Seriously?]] [[Fine, I'll grab them]]

You told your boss what your decision was. Looking at you sternly, your boss orders a man to come into the room. Before you know it, the world around you goes to black. You've been knocked out! Two hours later, you find yourself back home without any memory of what happened that day. Of course, you remembered the fact that you needed a job, so you went over to the local DMV and applied there. A couple days later, you got the job! Now go deal with some angry-as-hell customers! You grabbed the hot dogs and returned to the gluttonous agent. After he was done eating, he explained that the rogue agent likely had connections with a rival company known for having the same services Dynamite Corp. provided: the elimination of the unnatural. Unfortunately, that was all he could tell you. Looking out into the vast cafeteria, you tried looking for any suspicious agents. That's when you saw her. An agent running some esoteric-looking computer program, one that looked like the kind that could hack into Dynamite Corp.'s servers and access valuable data on its employees. [[Caught ya!]]

You caught the agent, and she was detained. Your boss was happy with the arrest you made, and you eventually got promoted. YAY! [[Start Over|Newly Recruited]]
